Hacksaw Ridge: A Movie Review

What a movie. Not for the faint of heart. Before going any farther, I while heartily recommend this movie.

Now, this me is gruesome. There is a stark turning point. One thing that hit home is how little I know about the World Wars. I’m talking about all the battles. I had never heard of Hacksaw Ridge before.

I think this hits home how many amazing stories are lost to the din of noise, and our own repression of them. And this movie tells the story of someone who embodied that. He didn’t want recognition, and who wouldn’t change for anything.

It does make a complicated explanation of why people fight. Different people might be the best explication. We all serve different purposes in life, whether by our own will or something else.
