I can now add Detroit Michigan and Denver/Castle Rock/Colorado Springs Colorado to the list of places I have been. Let me tell you, I enjoyed them all.
I traveled really just to get away from the troubles of not being able to get a jobĀ using my degree. That needed to be clarified. I have been trying to do some side gigs to bring in some money, and they are beginning to work.
Michigan is wonderful; I went canoeing, saw boat races, and got to love all the lakes. Colorado is lots of fun, with so much hiking! I recommend checking out the hidden gems – I enjoyed going to all of the historical things. Seriously, it was great. There are also a few speakeasies that are worth going to. They have the best bartenders I interacted with while there.
Key to being a good bar tender: be able to recommend a drink for me. I don’t drink much, very rarely – honestly, I don’t like the taste. I appreciate the method of how it is made, and love food made with alcohol, but I don’t drink it enough to really know much about what I like.
Both of these states are beautiful and I recommend visiting them both if you ever get the chance!
