I wanted to like this novel.
This book, written by Matthew Fleming, follows five strangers who wake up in a forest, no idea how they got there, and something is in the forrest with them.
Here is my number one issue with this novel: sentence structure and syntax. It felt choppy from the get go. This is a novel that needed a different editor. I do not recommend this book to anyone because of how the writing just breaks up the story. So many awkward sentences.
I was hopping I would find another Cleaving Souls novel, but was very disappointed.
