Killman Creek: A Book Review

The sequel to Still House Lake, Killman Creek picks up shortly after where the last novel ended. Gwen and Sam have the kids in an undisclosed location and Melvin is on the loose. This time, though, Gwen and Sam are taking the fight to him.

This novel wasn’t as captivating as the last novel. The buildup in the first novel really helped to cement the characters, and in this one I just kept getting annoyed at how dumb the children were. Both of them. Not to mention those protecting them.

Why can’t people trust Gwen? Sam at least is understandable. He still stands by her, even if he sort-of doesn’t believe her. The others though? Really?

Another well written novel, this book really makes it feel like a close to the story. The next novel I think we see Gwen switch from reacting to, possibly, protecting other.

If you enjoyed the first novel, if you enjoy psychological thrillers, this is a good novel for you.
