This Little Dark Place: A Book Review

This Little Dark Place by A. S. Hatch is a dark novel about how people can change. Its about a husband and wife,

“Daniel and Victoria are trying for a baby. But Daniel starts to feel lonely. He joins a group that sends letters to prisoners. His pen pal is called Ruby. They start writing to each other but its not long before they start revealing more about themselves.”

This novel was very slow. The writing was good, but this novel is dark. Not dark in the bloody way, but more in the general direction that Daniel’s writing goes. We dive right into the story with the two being married and having issues in their marriage and into Daniel’s background.

It was just slow. This novel picks up at the very end, but overall this is a slow novel and something for those who enjoy novels about internal struggles and relationship struggles.

I did receive a copy in exchange for an honest review.
