Written by Marissa Meyer, Cinder is the first in the Lunar Chronicals, and follows cyborg Cinder. This is set in the far future, where cyborgs don’t have the same rights as other humans, there is a plague going around with no cure, and a group of… humans?… that live on the moon and have extra powers. And, yes, there is a prince.
I am very late to this party. I know that. The plus of being late, though? The fact that I can just binge the whole series at my liege and not have to wait for the next book to come out.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The writing was great, and took the Cinderella story to a new place, and that is wonderful. The characters have so much personality, every character that we meet.
I just… I can’t wait till the next book to dive back into this world.
Though, I do already hate the queen and can’t wait for her to be gone.
