The Midnight Pack: A Book Review

The Midnight Pack, written by Jasmine Kulisha, follows P.I. Jericho who specializes in animal attacks who has come to the 100 Mile Forest after an unknown animal kills a woman.

This is a proper cozy mystery with a paranormal twist. I do wish the cover would keep the plot a bit more hidden, which the book summary does try to do. The wolf portion of this story, I think, should have been kept a secret.

Overall, I enjoyed this book’s writing. The instant love between Jericho and Ben was a bit much, but it did add to the ‘cozy’ mystery feel. With that, read this with Cozy Mystery in mind because the actions taken are not in line with real world logic. I don’t think most people (and here I must admit I might be overestimating what the majority of people would do) would just agree to stay in a random house they woke up in, and not assume the whole family had something bad going on/planned.

If you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries with some romance, this could be a good choice.

I did receive a copy in exchange for an honest review.
