What do you think?
As a writer who is, perhaps vainly, looking for a literary agent to represent my book, I am wondering if it is worth it to even discuss it? I know there are websites like Wattpad that can generate interest, but then you must give up your book. Or, at least parts of it.
Do you think this is what an unpublished author should do? Make a website and get a following and then look for an agent? Isn’t that kind of the point of getting an agent? That is what they are supposed to do, is represent your book.

Any thoughts on the subject? Why do agents want this? So that it is easier for them?
