So, at the Minneapolis comic con I recently went to, which is actually Wizard Con, there were 4 self published authors, 1 illustrated book, and 1 comic booth.
I was a bit confused, to say the least. Of the four authors, I bought two from a Mr. Quill, and chose to abstain from buying from anyone else due to my budget for the con.
Always stick to the budget when you don’t have a lot of spare money at the end of the month.
These two books will be reviewed, after The Forgotten Garden, the White Towers, and a few other books I got… WHY DO I FIND CHEAP BOOKS? The author who shared his booth, Christopher DSchmitz, I have a digital copy of his book, and will also get to that book when I can.
I frankly wasn’t expecting indie authors. I don’t know why I wasn’t, it is the perfect place for it, but the con was interesting. Most, as in 80%, of the artwork were movies and comic book themed (the irony of the ratio of comics to prints was not lost on me- there were significantly more prints).
I am looking forward to reading these books. It may be also while, but if I can keep up the pase I have managing, I could get to them within the next 2 to 3 months.
Yay books!
