Sleep, Savannah Sleep: A Book Review

Written by Alistair Cross, this book follows Jason and his two children, Amber and Brent, as they move to a new town after his wife’s death. Simple enough, right? Except their is something about their house, and the new town, that is a bit off.

Jason just wants to raise his children and be a massage therapist, but he is in a very strange town. I think.

Honestly, this novel didn’t get my attention. It reminded me of when I read the Amityville Horror. It was well written, but I just didn’t get into it. Just like with AH, I could not get into this book.

It was well written, very modern and straight forward, without excess description of unnecessary things. But the story didn’t catch me from the get go, and set the mood for the entire book for me. I wanted to love this book and fly through it, I really did. Particularly with it being a horror novel. But, I just couldn’t.

If you enjoy a classically written horror novel, this is a good book choice for you.

I was given this novel for an honest review
