If you are looking at this review, I am going to guess that you know what this movie is about. If not, Amy Schumer plays a sweet woman who maintains a cosmetic companies website and doesn’t think she is attractive. An accident leads her to believe she has been completely transformed, and her new found confidence finds her everything she wants.
So, I enjoyed this movie, but didn’t consider it to be a comedy. I thought it was going to be, based on the commercials. Wrong.
I liked this movie because it pointed out how a lot of women, a lot of people, think of themselves. As unattractive. And that confidence is the most important thing.
I wouldn’t recommend going to this by yourself, it was a little too cringey. But it was a good movie, and I do like the message it had. Just, a lot of cringe.
