Written by Marie Lu, Warcross follows Emika as she goes from nearly-street urchin to one of the top players in Warcross after getting caught hacking said video game.
This novel was really well received and just didn’t hit anything for me. I enjoyed the love interest, but the whole time it felt like the characters were just missing something. They felt flat.
The action scenes were well written, but it seemed like everything just happened to the characters, and that they only half-heartily reacted.
If you are wanting another book that is similar to Ready Player One, this could be a good book for you. But I think Ready Play One is written far better.
Overall, it was okay. Not a favorite.
