Written by Jobie Baldwin, Ink is a novel perfect for those looking for their next YA urban fantasy novel with a unique take on control of others.
The writting was decent, a bit repetitive for my taste, and while the overall plot was interesting – moving tattoos that end up being a method for someone to be controlled by something else is not quite unique, but a really interesting thing to explore – but the writing kept taking me out of the story. Written in first person, it was just really repetitive.
A really good suspenseful fantasy novel, I think most folks would enjoy this novel, if they can get past that repetitiveness. The characters are solid and fully fleshed out and interesting.
I recommend it to fans of YA.
I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
