The last novel in the Ethical Vampires series, The Season of Risks picks up with Ariella feeling out of place as an eternal 12 year old while her parents find love with one another again, and as she finds a home with Sloan and still in love with Cameron.
This novel continues down the dark and foggy path of the first two, though the story I found more captivating than the first. Lyrically written and only slightly dramatic, this novel was overall worth the read, though I think fans of horror and mystery will enjoy it far more than fans of romance or light-hearted stories.
