Bobbie Faye’s Very (Very Very Very) Bad Day: A Book Review

Written by Toni McGee Causey , Bobbie Faye’s Very Bad Day follows Bobbie Faye, who wakes up to the washing machine flooding her trailer house, her niece enjoying the water instead of waking her up, the stress of pirate days starting up, and her brother being held ransom in exchange for her mother’s tiara. And it really does just get worse from there.

This was such a fun, and funny, book! Trevor, a man you meet early on who sticks with with Bobbie Faye for the true craziness that follows her everywhere (the quotes at the start of the chapters are fantastic), really helps. We also get to see chapters/bits written from Cam’s perspective, Bobbie’s ex who is the local detective (and keeps missing the promotion thanks to her craziness) and her boss who tries to channel the positive energy to keep her going.

If you want a fun read, I think you can’t go wrong with this novel. However, this was re-branded at one point to be a romance novel. This isn’t a romance novel. There is a touch of romance at the end, but this is a funny chic novel in all the best of ways. Some choice language, so not good if you can’t deal with some bad words here and there.

But, really, very enjoyable.
