Well Met: A Book Review

Written by Jen DeLuca, Well Met follows Emily, a woman who has been helping take care of her sister and niece after a car accident shattered her sister’s leg.

Emily, or Emma, finds herself signing up for the local ren fest so that her niece can work it. Through this, she gets to know some of the folks in the small town her sister has lived in, and doesn’t socialize in, and finding friends, and an annoying English teacher Simon who runs the ren fest.

This book is NOT suitable for younger folks, as there are two very adult scenes. Only two, but still, fair warning.

This is a contemporary romance and reminds me a lot of Geekerella and novels similar to that. Which is to say it is very well written and character driven, not plot. There isn’t anything in this novel that couldn’t happen. It is all very realistic, and I wish something kind of similar would happen to me as it would be terribly sweet.

If you don’t like romance, or want action and adventure, this is not the novel for you. Otherwise, give this a shot. I really enjoyed the growth that all of the characters went to, and liked all of the characters.
