Waltz with a VAmpire: A Book Review

Written by Maggie MacKeever, this is the first novel in a series about Vampires in Scotland.

Before I go any further, THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN, MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY, AND BELOW, THERE BE SPOILERS.

So, this is written in what I consider to be the standard historical-fantasy-rom-com style. This is to say that sometimes what they say/do doesn’t make sense at all, but it is highly entertaining. Emily has come to a castle in hopes of getting Val, the vampire, on her side for some help.

Little did Emily know that Val, old vampire that he may be, would end up stealing her heart and her his.

This was just a fun read, something that I pickup up for a dollar (the original release’s cover is so funny and cute! I am so happy I didn’t find the new addition, as I think I would have passed it over).

Kidnapping, shapeshifters, multiple vampires, and lots of romance, this was a fun little read on a Saturday for me, and I recommend it for any rom-com fan who wants something with fangs.
