Life: A Movie Review

Wow. They held no punches and didn’t build up much. Not that they needed to.

This movie had an excellent cast, though if you are watching it to see Ryan Reynolds… maybe don’t? Jake Gyllenhaal? Yes.

This is not a movie for the faint of heart. In fact, this is many people’s worse nightmare on the screen. Recover something from outer space, only for it to become a thing that kills.

But, seriously, this was actually a really good movie. I think I would even watch it again. For me, it would make a good date movie. (I know, I should go for something more lighthearted.)

This movie used intelligence and played on the emotions of the crew. How they set up the actors to be in space is so interesting! I really did enjoy this. It was a fun ride, after I got over the initial shock value. Wasn’t expecting to have my heart race so much or so often. As I stated before, there wasn’t a whole lot of build up. I thought this wouldn’t go south until the last 10 minutes or so, and I was definitely wrong. Oh, so very wrong.

I recommend this movie, as long as you are not faint of heart, or dislike a bit of a scary movie.
